Absorbent pads and pouches are designed to ensure safe and compliant storage
AIC’s absorbent pads are compliant storage and transport of diagnostic and clinical samples, infectious and
hazardous materials, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and environmental samples. These are available in a wide
range of absorbency levels calculated to meet all regulatory requirements. They are available with a leak-proof
adhesive closure, puncture resistance, printed tracking information and other features as required.
AIC was designed for the safe transport of laboratory specimen tubes by keeping the tubes separate and
providing cushioning at the same time. It consists of a multi-layered polymeric material that has extremely
high absorption properties. To use, simply place the tubes in the Absorbent bag and insert the Absorbent
bag into secondary packaging. AIC™ absorbent pads and pouches can be used together with 95 kPa specimen
transport bags as a complete secondary package solution.During shipment, Absorbent bag is best used in
combination with a 95Kpa bag or Sponge box to comply with DOT and IATA shipping regulations.

adhesive closure withstands a temperature range of -40⁰C up to +55⁰C (-40⁰F up to +130⁰F).

suitable for shipping hazardous liquids or solids in Packing Groups I, II and III by any mode of transportation.
They can accommodate your own glass or plastic bottles which must pass hydrostatic pressure tests to
meet ISTA Procedure 1A when shipping by air. These kits include everything you need to protect your
containers’ internal contents, such as absorbent pouches, fiberboard insert, fiberboard pads, ties,
pressure-sensitive tape and a 4GV corrugated outer box. Available in two sizes, you can ship either
four 8-oz. or four 1L containers. Save yourself time and avoid packaging errors and compliance issues
when shipping four inner containers of hazardous materials by using one of these all-inclusive 4GV
packaging kits.
